-A year has gone by for the rising stars of Graydirge. Blood Lord Berline is most anxious that everyone know she both recruited them and basks in the reflected glory. Zaheri and Hanst have worked to fulfill his duty of reproduction, and to his amazement, has developed feelings for Hanst. This is much to the bemusement of his other human companions.  +A residence in one of the city’s alcazars remains one of the greatest honors afforded to a Blood Lord. Dizonn has selected a small area informally known as The Mortician’s Suite. It’s previous occupant, Xharduun spears to have gotten into trouble and was arrested and executed with no possibility of undeath a year ago. Dizonn is not sure what is inside and it is clear this is yet another test. Selection seems continuous. Dizonn gives them a golden key to the suite, and Zaheri is at his most charming, making an impression on the mummy who does not like anyone not a mummy. Tsekani notes the place is going to need pest control.

 +They approach along the Alcazar Terrace. Two reinforced doors set into the walls at the corner afford entrance to the suite on either side of an alcove containing a mummified sentinel. The golden key opens the door. Upon entering, they find a large reception hall with various things within, covered in dust. The largest thing is the bones of a tyrannosaurus. It is, alas, a bone golem, and it attacks the party.

 +Zaheri opens with a //magic missile// from his wand and Sebastion strikes with electrical attack. Then the construct is upon them, striking Blake with a critical blow that he collapses away from. Tsekani hits the thing, but his fists make no significant damage to the large set of bones. Blake leaps up, his bones again inhabiting his armor, swinging his scythe, but he cannot get purchase with his bladed weapon. Holding back, Zaheri and Sebastion both unleash for arcs of electrical magic, while Hanover tries to claw with void energy, but while the electrical attacks land, the void energy does nothing. Zaheri’s wand lets forth an additional barrage of //magic missiles//

 +The golem bites at Tsekani, and the mummy monk dodges aside. The second bash of the head connects, but this only steals Tsekani who delivers a terrible sonic punch, shattering the magic connecting the bones. The golem collapses in a heap.

 +After dealing with the defended of place, Zaheri immediately wonders if they could fix and have it work for them. Upon investigation, the mummy in the alcove appears to be both undead and bound. Good enough to leave that along.

 +As Zaheri inspects the room, Sebastion opens doors to the north and immediately sees strange entities and slams the door shut. When they do not emerge, the group decides to leave that for later. They find a secret passage to an observation chamber for the entrance hallway which is clearly a study and library or sorts.

 +In the other room connected to the main hall, they find the autopsy room with a still twitching zombie horse being experimented upon. Sebastion engages in careful work and finds a tube with a message. They rest up, with Zaheri healing them. Sebastion keeps the tools of the trade. Now it is time to move forward.

 +Examining the message they found, it seems that the former owner was in part linked to the conspiracy to poison Geb. He was asking for additional supplies or he would fail.

 +Before they enter into the next room, Zaheri further studies the giant [[https://pathfinderwiki.com/wiki/Sabosan|sabosan]]. This mummy is trapped in some sort of torpor. Zaheir makes sure they will not accidentally awaken it. Then he asks Sebastion about the [[https://pathfinderwiki.com/wiki/Gliminal|gliminals]] he saw. The news is bad. Gliminals are guardians of Creation's Forge so overflowing with positive energy that they unknowingly blind and overwhelm mortals and other outsiders if they are drawn onto other planes of existence. Their use of positive energy threatens the undead and mortals alike in their group, as thanks to the ritual they underwent, all act as undead to negative and positive energy. 
 +Zaheri contemplates a fireball, but thinks better of it. After all, this is meant to be their quarters. He instead comes up with a plan. He will cast //haste// on the group and then have Tsekani open the door. He will throw in //black tentacles// which will hopefully bind the outsiders, even if the bludgeoning damage does not hurt them much. The negative void energy of Hanover and Zaheri’s spells, as well as Tsekani’s //ghost touch// wraps will help tremendously. And Sebastion has a wand of //harm// as well.

 +They have immediate success, with all four in the room are caught, and two beaten quite badly. Hanover drifts in and strikes one with his void touch. One at a distance fires a beam of light that damages the undead ghost even as Tsekani charges in, ignoring the tentacles and punching the one next the Hanover, hitting it with both fists. However, the tentacles just manage to grab him. Sebastion fires a void round from his gun and follows up with //electrical arc// as the gilminals silently howl in an unnerving fashion. They concentrate upon the mummy monk, and Tsekani takes several hits.

 +Seeing his friend is also caught, Zaheri drops the spell and places another further back: //Invoke spirits//. This cloud of otherworldly voices and forms claws at the will of the three caught within it. While the mental damage is shrugged off, the additional void damage is painful to the outsiders. Blake charges in as Hanover again strikes. Blake’s scythe, despite being non void and non ghost touch, still cuts down a gilminal, leaving the hastened skeleton to charge another and strike it. Meanwhile, Tsekani is dodging attacks and hits with a double punch, weakening it.

 +Sebastion’s quick mind can not chart a path for a good shot, so he instead casually strolls up to Tsekani and both heals and uses an //oil of unlife//. Blake then kills that one and advances on the other, even as the sprits keep at the edges of the minds of the two remaining. Zaheri unleashes a burst of negative energy with a //harm spell// after walking in. As the remaining two glimanls fight, Sebastion fires off another //electrical arc// and the monk smacks another. Now that the remaining two are in a line, Zaheri unleashes his most powerful void magic //enervation//. The line of negative energy catches the two outsiders off guard. One vanishes, its positive energy purged. The other reels back into Hanover’s touch which destroys it. The battle is over.

 +Careful searching takes much of the rest of the night. There are no more left over hazards or guardians. Zaheri finds and reads what appear to be books about cats, but his arcane sight detects they are really books on the observations made. Valuable to Zaheri and his study of death and undeath. Sebastion and Zaheir heal everyone with their magic and Zaheri goes to lay down to recover. However, before he can even get into a bed there is a knock at the door.

 +Sebastion opens the door to see a three visitors, two vampires, and a gnome. They introduce themselves as Harmony in Agony, female vampire, Weeping Jack, a Halfing Vampire, and Rumin Purgo, a quick gnome. They introduce themselves as upstairs neighbors who work for Lord Hyrane. Sebastion and Blake take an instant disliking to the three, and Zaheri feels the need to intervene. He emerges, polite and cleaned. The three immediately engage in passive aggressive commentary about things being shabby. Zaheir ignores this and remains proper. Blake grumbles when they are shown not to be Blood Lords in their own right, but servants. When asked about what they found that might be scandalous, Tsekani plays up the horror of the giminals that it took them half a minute to defeat which delights Harmony.

 +Despite being asked to be shown around, Zaheri is quite forceful in saying no,

 +//’It has been a long night and we will rest and clean up. However, I wish to send a message to your master”// with an emphasis on the last work. With a flourish, Zaheri enthusiastically writes and seals a message to Lord Hyrane requesting an audience, and the Lord’s convenience. This seems to take the three by surprise, especially as Zaheri is perfect in his presentation.

 +Upon leaving, Sebastion gets a special wink form Harmony, which is returned with a look of poison. Zaheri admonishes both Blake and Sebastion they are in dangerous grounds and to tread carefully. These are monsters more dangerous than ones they can just strike. He then goes to sleep so they can shop before their mission to be escorts tonight!
